Little Big Minds Preschool

Little Big Minds Spanish Immersion Preschool offers flamenco classes for the littlest dancers! Flamenco lifts the spirits of children and builds confidence in their ability to express themselves. Students learn rhythm, posture, arm positions, and footwork as they explore spatial awareness, musicality, coordination, balance, listening skills, and perseverance in a fun, creative environment!

Monday: Scottsdale Campus 1:00-2:00pm
Wednesday: Uptown Campus 1:00-2:00pm
Friday: Biltmore Campus 1:00-2:00pm

5-8 Year-olds at Dance Fusion

Flamenco develops expression, coordination, poise, physical control, and endurance. With ages 5-8, we explore rhythms and technique including arm positions, hand movements, footwork, turns, and traveling patterns. Books, stories, and cultural elements of flamenco and Southern Spain are also incorporated.

Classes held at Dance Fusion Studio in the Scottsdale Airpark.

Youth at Scottsdale School of Ballet

Dancers age twelve through eighteen study flamenco as part of their curriculum at the Scottsdale School of Ballet. Forming Julia’s youth company, the girls have performed with Flamenco Theatre at Arizona venues such as the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Mesa Arts Center and the Musical Instrument Museum.

Friday: 4:40 – 5:40pm Advanced
Tuesday 7:20-8:20 Intermediate

Adult Classes

Dancers age 15 through 70+ attend flamenco classes of all levels. From beginners to advanced dancers, students have gone on to perform with Flamenco Theatre at Arizona venues such as the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Mesa Arts Center and the Musical Instrument Museum.. Classes held at the private studio of Lydia Torea.

Monday: 11am – 12:15pm Advanced
Monday: 6pm – 7:15pm Intermediate

Dance Attire
Flamenco shoes, athletic pants or leggings, a shirt that allows full range of movement, and a long skirt for women (optional). Be prepared to sweat
