Adult classes range from small group sessions in a private, midtown central Phoenix studio, to large public studio classes. All offerings have the option to join online via Zoom! Our newest classes, Flamenco 1 for Adults, and Flamenco for Kids, are held at the Ballet Theatre of Phoenix on 7th street in Uptown Phoenix.

Pre-K Flamenco – Ages 3-5
at Little Big Minds Preschool

Flamenco lifts the spirits of children and builds confidence in their ability to express themselves. Early education dance can leave a lasting love of movement while building spatial awareness, coordination, balance, listening skills, perseverance, and coordination through the study of rhythm, posture, artistic expression, arm positions, and footwork in a musical, fun, and creative environment!

Pre-K Ballet – Ages 3-5

Ballet sparks children’s imagination and and builds graceful athleticism. Early education dance can leave a lasting love of movement while building spatial awareness, coordination, balance, listening skills, perseverance, and coordination through the study of posture, artistic expression, and traditional movements in a fun and creative environment!

Flamenco for Kids – Ages 5-12

Flamenco develops expression, coordination, poise, physical control, endurance, social connection, and rhythmic awareness. With ages 5-12, we develop more advanced musicality and techniques such as arm positions, hand movements, footwork, turns, and traveling patterns. Supporting cultural context is incorporated.

Teen/Adult Classes – Ages 15+

Dancers of all ages attend flamenco classes and students of all levels have the opportunity to perform with Flamenco Theatre at community events and festivals at venues such as the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Mesa Arts Center, Phoenix Center for the Arts, Herberger Theatre, ALAC, and the Musical Instrument Museum.

Intermediate class: 11:00am – 12:15pm Wednesday (private studio)
Advanced class: 6:30-7:45pm Tuesday (private studio)
Beginner class: 6:00-7:00pm Thursday (Ballet Theatre of Phoenix)

Dance Attire
Flamenco shoes, athletic pants or leggings, a shirt that allows full range of movement, and a long skirt for women (optional). Be prepared to sweat
